Cooperation with foreign countries and student mobility are among the priorities of our faculty. Apart from the Erasmus programme, which gives students the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at a European university, the IFMSA organisation also offers students additional internships.
Our faculty has a long-standing, above-standard relationship with the prestigious MAYO Clinic in Rochester, USA. This unique cooperation, which surpasses all other medical faculties in the Czech Republic in its scope, enables about 10 pre- and postgraduate students to go to Rochester for 3-month study stays every year. The stays are of a research nature, usually related to our student's area of interest and prospective development, and often result in publications. All MAYO Clinic internship graduates unanimously confirm that this is an unusually stimulating activity, which in some cases has resulted in additional work and residency placements at prestigious clinics in the USA.
Inter-faculty agreements and hundreds of inter-university agreements for both students and scientific and teaching staff are another possibility of cooperation with foreign institutions.
