The history of the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové is relatively short compared to Charles University. Ideas for the establishment of a branch and later a faculty date back to the 1940s. During this time, the faculty has come a long way and now ranks among the best research and educational institutions in the field of medicine in the Czech Republic.
