The Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové offers many opportunities for students and academic staff to present their research results, meet colleagues and learn something new in both research and teaching/learning skills. Participation in these meetings can be part of the study requirements or part of the review process for grants from some grant agencies.

Determined undergraduate students can take part in research activities in all departments and clinics during their study. They are encouraged to present their research results at the Students´ Scientific Conferences.

Since 2005, the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové has been hosting an annual international conference for postgraduate students from medical faculties. Now known as the International Medical Doctoral Conference, this event attracts PhD students from medical faculties across the Czech Republic and from abroad.

The joint scientific conference of the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital in Hradec Králové has been held annually since 1996 and enables colleagues at both institutions to learn the results of research work at the departments, clinics and laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové and the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.
