This unit provides care for patients with digestive tract diseases, abdominal cavity, and other organs. It performs a broad range of procedures, from routine surgical interventions to complex oncological surgeries. Modern techniques, including laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgeries, ensure minimally invasive and effective treatment.
As a Level I regional trauma centre for the Hradec Králové and Pardubice regions, this unit specializes in treating trauma patients, including polytrauma cases. It provides comprehensive acute and follow-up care using the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
The Vascular Surgery unit focuses on the specialized diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute arterial and venous conditions (including trauma) throughout the body, excluding coronary vessels, the ascending aorta, and the aortic arch. The unit performs vascular reconstruction surgeries and manages patients with acute and chronic vascular complications. It provides 24/7 emergency services for vascular conditions such as embolism, acute arterial thrombosis, bleeding, and injuries. The unit serves as a referral centre for the Hradec Králové region and neighbouring areas, closely collaborating with interventional radiologists, radiologists, and other specialists within the hospital.
This unit offers comprehensive care in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. In addition to a wide range of cosmetic procedures, it specializes in reconstructive surgeries for breast cancer patients, including prophylactic mastectomies with immediate reconstruction when indicated. The unit also treats patients with acute injuries requiring reconstructive interventions, pressure ulcers, and chronic wounds. Hand surgery (including endoscopic carpal tunnel release and minimally invasive Dupuytren's contracture treatment), skin tumour surgery, correction of selected congenital defects, and burn treatment (up to 20% body surface area) are also key areas of expertise.
